Yes, Your Parents Are Crazy! by Michael J. Bradley PDFBradley, Michael J. (2004). Yes, your parents are crazy: A teen survival handbook. New York, NY: HarperCollins Publishing.
Citation by: Sarah Ritter
Reference Type: Handbook
Content/Scope: The purpose of this book is to give teens a little insight as to why their parents are driving them crazy and advice/tips on how to deal with them during the teenage years and stay close with your parents.
Accuracy/Authority/Bias: Dr. Bradley is a teen psychologist so he is knowledgeable of teen behavior. He also wrote a book for parents called, Yes, your teen is crazy! There might be more issues that he does not discuss.
Arrangement and Presentation: There are illustrated cartoons and text. The book is divided into three sections: physical, emotional, and psychological. He specifically discusses mental health issues and focuses on drugs, alcohol, depression, and eating disorders. Some topics are more intense than others. There are 399 pages and it is printed in paperback.
Relation to similar works: There are other similar works but the library I observed did not have one like this. It reminded me somewhat of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series.
Accessibility and Diversity: This book is recommended for older teens—high school age because of some of the issues discussed. Teens of all races, genders, backgrounds will relate to this book.
